The Marengo-Union Library District is looking for a Library Clerk to work with our Patron Services Department.

The position’s essential duties/responsibilities:
• Open/Close the Library
• Use integrated library system to perform circulation functions
• Interact with patrons, offer assistance as needed
• Answer the phone and route calls
• Perform routine office tasks including faxing and printing
• Shelve materials using the Dewey Decimal System

Minimum qualifications:

High School graduate. Demonstrate knowledge of current technologies, objective critical thinking and decision making ability, the ability to stay calm in difficult situations, and the ability to work independently.

$15.00 per hour – 12-16 hours a week
