Event Description
Learn how to draw circus-themed creations with Andertoons. Cartoonist Mark Anderson will teach you step by step to draw unforgettable, gravity defying characters you have to see to believe. You will leave this session encouraged by Mark that anyone can draw.
Registration open. Please register no later than 48 hours before event starts.
Robin Hood Day has been postponed. New date and time TBD.
Join as we learn who Robin Hood was, then we’ll make some crafts, and play some games. Can you pay your taxes to the “Honorable Sheriff of Nottingham,” or will you be thrown in MULD jail?
Please wear sunscreen as this event is outdoors.
Join cartoonist Mark Anderson for a fun-filled time learning how to draw Bigfoot doing funny things. You will leave this session encouraged by Mark that anyone can draw.
Let’s go for a hike! Stories and songs can bring us along! Performer Brian Fox will be our guide as we travel through the forests, prairies, and along the rivers of Illinois, meeting the many creatures who share our home. Blending folktales with true stories as told by the animals themselves let us celebrate the wild world through the eyes of our four-legged and winged friends.
Grab your favorite stuffed animal, pack a lunch, and join us for a picnic at Calvin Spencer Park. In case of rain we’ll meet at the Library.
