Shannon Hale & LeUyen Pham will talk about their popular graphic novel series “Real Friends”, answer your questions, and share an engaging activity!

You can join virtually via ZOOM as they talk about their books and answer your questions OR join our viewing party in the library to hear their talk and share an engaging activity! All supplies will be provided in library only.

About the Authors

Shannon Hale:

Shannon Hale is the New York Times best-selling author of over forty children’s and young adult books, including graphic novel memoirs Real Friends, Best Friends, and Friends Forever, and multiple award winners The Goose Girl, Book of a Thousand Days, and Newbery Honor recipient Princess Academy. She also writes books for adults, such as Austenland. She co-writes books with her husband Dean Hale, like the Eisner-nominated graphic novel Rapunzel’s Revenge and best-selling illustrated chapter book series The Princess in Black. She lives with her husband Dean and their four children near Salt Lake City, Utah.

LeUyen Pham:

LeUyen Pham (pronounced Lay-Win) is the award-winning and critically acclaimed illustrator of more than one hundred books for children including the Princess in Black series, Alvin Ho series, and many others. LeUyen is also both the author and illustrator of several books: Big Sister Little Sister, There’s No Such Thing as Little, A Piece of Cake, All the Things I Love About You, The Bear Who Wasn’t There, and Outside, Inside. She is also the co-creator, along with Shannon Hale, of the groundbreaking bestselling graphic memoirs  Real Friends, Best Friends, and Friends Forever. LeUyen lives in Los Angeles with her husband Alex (who is also an artist), and their two sons.
