Earth Day is April 22nd.
Saturday, April 23rd is the perfect day to celebrate the Earth with our scavenger hunt. View/Print your Earth Day Scavenger Hunt below OR you can pick one up from the Circulation Desk. Collect all the items on the list and turn those items into a masterpiece! Don’t forget to send us a picture of your creations to display to circulation@muld.org.
The books highlighted in Miss Jacki’s presentation today were:
- Planet Earth by Kathleen M Reilly, published by Nomad Press
- What a Waste Trash, Recycling, and Protecting Our Planet by Jess French, published by DK Publishers
- Milk & Juice a Recycling Romance written by Meredith Crandell Brown, published by Harper an imprint of Harper Collins Publishers
- A reference was made to the book How to Help the Earth by the Lorax with Tish Rabe, published by Random House
We encourage you take a hike as a family to appreciate the Earth. As you go on your hike look for the things on the scavenger Hunt Sheet. See what you can create from things you find on your hike to make a collage or a diorama. We would love for you to share a picture of your creation via our website circulation@muld.org. If you want to bring your project in to display at the library that would be cool too.
